Brief Note on Windergy India 2017

Windergy India 2017 is a prestigious mega event in India in the Renewable Energy sector especially focusing on the Wind Energy.

The three-day exhibition and international conference will see participation of global leaders converging at this event organized for the industry and by the industry. The event is being organised by Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers’ Association (IWTMA) in partnership with Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and ably supported by Make in India Initiative and the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. 

Over 150 exhibitors from 10 overseas countries and 10000 visitors and more than 500 delegates from overseas and within the country are expected to congregate and deliberate during the two-day international conference and three day exhibition at Hotel Ashok in New Delhi between April 25 and April 27.

Windergy India 2017 will bring together key Government authorities, International and National Wind Energy players, Service Providers, cutting edge Innovators, vital Financing Entities and other stakeholders on a single platform. Given the phenomenal prospects available in this sector, Windergy India will provide an opportunity to network; collaborate with peers, innovators, thought leaders and policy makers. 

In preparation for Windergy India, the IWTMA in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), organised regional workshops in the key Wind rich States of India. These workshops were a unique platform to bring together, industry, Central and State Governments and other stakeholders to discuss the issues and solutions for Wind Energy besides round tables with the TERI and Pan-India media meetings to explain the various advantages of wind energy.

The Global Wind Energy Council will be releasing the Global Wind Market Outlook Report along with the Indian Wind Market Report on April 25 coinciding with the Windergy India 2017 event.
