Top-class lectures and diverse topics

The motto of this year's trade fair is "Welcome at the transition phase" and gives one hint: The German wind industry is heading for numerous new challenges, which will take shape against the background of further tendering rounds. Visitors to the 26th Wind Energy Days can therefore look forward to a range of 200 lectures in 23 forums - from repowering, tendering and public acceptance to marketing and communications. This year's lecture program of wind-turbine. com is as follows:

 7.11.

10:15 - 10:40 Used wind turbine market in transition (Forum 15: "Ich stemm das schon mit der Alten!", in the hotel, ground floor, gymnasium & room "Malediven")

More and more wind turbines are reaching an age when operators have to deal with issues such as continued operation, repowering and dismantling. Dismantled wind turbines are by far not always a case of recycling, often they still achieve a very good price on the secondary market. Our managing director Bernd Weidmann will talk about the changing market for used wind turbines.

18:00 - 18:30 How Google influences your business success (Forum 4: "Marketing & Kommunikation", Congress Center)

Google: The largest search engine in Germany. Those who are not visible here miss out on orders and quickly fall behind their competitors. Bernd Weidmann reports in this lecture on the means and standards Google is applying to separate the wheat from the chaff and place good, helpful and honest providers at the forefront.

18:30 - 19:00 Markets of tomorrow: How an online marketplace recognizes trends (Forum 4: "Marketing & Kommunikation", Congress Center)

While the situation on the German wind power market promises to get increasingly lost in the next few years, more and more international markets are opening up interesting potential. While the trade press reports, international market participants are already looking for help and business partners online. This is also apparent on wind-turbine. com. Who'll take the chance?

19:00 Award Wind-Website-Award 2017 (Forum 4: "Marketing & Kommunikation", Congress Center)

The Wind Website Award 2017 will be presented once again at this year's Wind Energy Days. The wind power industry continues to face major challenges in building its online presence: visibility at Google, placement of relevant topics, optimization for mobile users: anyone who invests here will not regret it. With our award, we want to highlight the role models of the industry and give other companies the opportunity to set a good example. Who will be the lucky winner of this year's Wind Website Award, you will find out at the award ceremony on 7.11. in Forum 4 from 19:00.

9.11.

Disruptive & digital: How an online marketplace changes business processes & opens up new business opportunities globally (Forum 4: (Self) Marketing & Digitization, Congress Center)

How does the Internet help companies in the wind energy industry to place their companies online and find promising partners? Bernd Weidmann reports on the opportunities offered by online marketplaces and how these provide their infrastructure for easier internationalisation.
