The trade fair for onshore and offshore wind energy in Germany
HUSUM Wind, Germany's cradle of wind power, has been the most important industry trade fair for the German-speaking market for over 25 years. Every two years, it offers representatives of the wind industry a forum to exchange views on important national topics – from the amendment of the EEG to service and maintenance to grid expansion – as well as on the latest developments and product innovations in the German and international market. The established meeting place in the wind state of Schleswig-Holstein attracts trade visitors and experts from all sectors of the industry. The who's who of turbine manufacturers are represented at the HUSUM Wind trade fairs as well as project developers, component manufacturers, suppliers, service providers and consulting firms. They all meet here to discuss current political and technical issues such as tendering, maintenance concepts and repowering. Around 17,500 trade visitors and 650 exhibitors from Germany and neighbouring countries are expected to present their products and services along the entire value chain. Long-standing partners of HUSUM Wind 2017 are the industry associations BWE, VDMA and the Network Agency for Renewable Energies Schleswig-Holstein (EE. SH). As part of a renewed trade fair concept, there will also be special shows every year that focus on future-oriented areas in the wind industry. The special topics in 2017 were "Offshore Wind Energy" and "Sector Coupling and Grid Integration". HUSUM Wind takes place every two years, alternating with the partner trade fair WindEnergy Hamburg, which is considered the leading trade fair for the global wind energy market.
