Wherever flammable gases, vapours or combustible dust occur, it is imperative to avoid or reduce any risk of fire or explosion caused by high heat or ignition sources. Passive explosion protection
IEP Technologies' passive protection systems are typically the most cost-effective solution in terms of installation and maintenance. They consist of explosion rupture discs that safely dissipate the explosion pressure into the atmosphere and thus prevent the sudden pressure of an explosion from bursting containers and causing structural damage or even injury. Explosion rupture discs are offered in a wide range of sizes and profiles, so that suitable protection systems are available for each plant and site, including "flameless pressure relief systems", which prevent explosion flames from escaping into the room when their discharge into the outside air is not possible.
