Alterric - Germany's largest onshore wind operator
Alterric is a joint venture between the energy supplier "EWE" from northwestern Germany and the Aloys Wobben Foundation from Aurich. Alterric develops, plans and operates wind farms in Germany and Central Europe. With over 35 years of industry and project experience, the company has already implemented more than 1,100 wind turbines in Germany and retained all of them in its own inventory. With an existing capacity of over 2,300 megawatts and a pipeline of 9,400 megawatts for new wind projects, Alterric is one of the largest onshore green electricity producers in Central Europe.
Alterric is convinced that the climate targets in Europe can only be achieved through an increased expansion of onshore wind power and ground-mounted photovoltaics. With this perspective, more than 300 experts are driving forward the expansion towards 100 percent renewable energies. Alterric teams work at ten locations in Germany as well as international offices, including in France and Greece. In this way, Alterric wants to make a significant contribution to climate protection, sustainability and the preservation of the environment.
