The company DCNS builds, among other things, floating wind turbines for the offshore sector. The generators are sunk to a depth of 30m and thus ensure a high level of stability of the turbines. It is estimated that by 2020 about 10% of the energy demand on the Breton coast and by 2030 even about 30% of the energy demand can be obtained from this type of wind turbine. Together with Nass & Wind, Vergnet, Ifremer and the ENSTA Bretagne Graduate School, pilot projects are currently being installed off the French coast as part of WinFlow.
