At home in the industry, networked locally. The framework conditions for onshore wind energy projects have become more complex. In addition to the tendering process and technical development of the plants, the focus is also on the appropriate participation model for local citizens. It is precisely against this background that renewable energy projects must not only be implemented with foresight, but also financed in a tailor-made manner. We have been adapting to this for more than 20 years. "In this dynamic environment, cooperation with the BWE is more important than ever in order to know the framework conditions at an early stage and to help shape their further development," says Jörg-Uwe Fischer, Head of the DKB's Renewable Energies Competence Center and member of the spokesperson group of the BWE Financing Advisory Board.
Our clients benefit from the financing expertise and high level of technical understanding of our relationship managers. They develop financing solutions that are tailored to the different technologies and locations and optimally take into account project sizes and funding conditions.
Thanks to our regional network, which we strengthened in 2017 with new locations in Kiel, Münster and Oldenburg, among others, we know the special features of the area. In this way, we can create advantages for our customers by bringing together the players in our customer groups – plant manufacturers, regional municipal utilities, supra-regional energy suppliers, municipalities or farmers. This also includes individual models that allow citizens to participate economically in wind and solar farms or local heating networks. Since 2004, we have implemented more than 100 citizen participation projects with our customers. International projects and offshore wind projects are supported within the Group by our parent company, Bayerische Landesbank.
