ELIN Motoren GmbH is an Austrian manufacturer of generators for wind turbines with a power range of 750 kW to currently 8,600 kW. ELIN's product portfolio includes conventional and double-fed asynchronous generators as well as synchronous generators with electrical and PM excitation. In the newly built ELIN test facility in Weiz, system tests up to 5 MW (generator + converter) can be carried out at the highest level. ELIN is also particularly distinguished by its many years of experience with a wide variety of cooling concepts such as water-jacket cooling, air-to-water and air-to-air cooling. ELIN Motoren strives for close partnerships and cooperations with customers and is accordingly also able to ensure local supply in the main sales markets. The total number of wind turbine generators supplied by ELIN from Austria since the mid-1980s amounts to more than 9,000 units (excluding generators sold in the course of joint ventures and/or as licensed products).
