With the commissioning of its own production site in Chemnitz, the company, which was founded on June 1, 2007, is creating the prerequisites for mass-producing individual renewable energy systems in high quality in the future, or those networked for self-sufficient operation. HEOS Energy GmbH, as a spin-off of IWBWerkstofftechnologieGmbH, took over all activities in the wind and hydropower plant sector. The experience gained in the sister company since 1994 has been incorporated into HEOS Energy GmbH.
The focus is on the market launch of a vertical-axis wind turbine with a nominal output of 75 kW (HEOS H75) with the main areas of application self-sufficiency, reduction of peak values and implementation of stand-alone solutions in combination with solar trackers and generators.
The expansion of the repair service for wind turbine gearboxes up to 2.5 megawatts nominal output is being driven in particular by our new production hall, in which several cranes with a maximum lifting capacity of 25 t are available.
In addition, solar systems are an important part of our range of renewable energies. In addition to the planning and implementation of solar power systems and solar thermal systems, we sell two-axis solar trackers from our own production, or integrate third-party products into complex systems.
As before, the company also undertakes the comprehensive renovation, automation and repair of hydropower plants with a nominal output of up to one megawatt.
Thanks to the new hall construction, we are now able to blast and coat components up to 22 meters long and a unit weight of up to 25 tons. In the mechanical production and regeneration of required parts and components, there is close cooperation with IWB Werkstofftechnologie GmbH as a sister company.
HEOS Energy GmbH focuses on projects to supply customers in industry and agriculture as well as private interested parties. The focus of the offer is on the widest possible range of services for the benefit of the customer, which includes the planning, production,assembly and sales, as well as the maintenance andrepair of

IWB Werkstofftechnologie GmbH has been serving customers from a wide range of industrial and trade sectors with coated and uncoated machine and plant components since 1991. From 1994, the company was active in the hydropower plant sector. In 2004, the business area was expanded to include the wind power industry. Here it was
especially gearboxes in the range up to 660 KW, which have been repaired and overhauled. The strong growth of IWB Werkstofftechnologie GmbH in conjunction with the creation of new production capacities in the industrial park on Jagdschänkenstraße (south-west quadrant A72, exit Chemnitz-Süd) led to the decision to spin off in order to be able to develop all business areas equally.
