The company Hundt Metalltechnik already exists in the 4th generation since the founding year 1947. The history of the company began as a hoof and wagon smith. In 1974, the company enters the second generation and also takes a new path, the company specializes in locksmith and metal construction work. Since 1997, the two current managing directors Andreas and Sebastian Hundt have been constantly working on the further development and perfection of their products. Another milestone was the move to Untersiemau and the conversion into a GmbH in 2007.

With about 30 employees on a production area of 4000 m2, the company specializes in surface finishing against corrosion and mechanical wear of metal surfaces. Especially in the area of onshore/offshore, a long service life and freedom from maintenance for the systems should be guaranteed.

The certified quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN 14001 and DIN EN 1090 ensures compliance with the required standard.

The company Hundt Metalltechnik is currently involved in several projects with development effort. Cooperation partners are the University of Stuttgart, the Fraunhofer Institute and the University of Dortmund.

At the University of Stuttgart, the goal of "reducing the weight of armored bodies" is being pursued with the help of a "bullet-resistant" coating (automotive motif). The "Lubrication Free Bearing" is also part of the project in Stuttgart.

The Fraunhofer Institute is dedicated to roller coating (CFRP/GFRP) for use in the food and water industries.

Together with Hundt Metalltechnik, the University of Dortmund is working on increasing the service life of GRP materials by means of abrasive and seawater-resistant coatings (oil industry) with the aim of increasing the useful lives of seawater installations.

With a turnover of 4 million/p.a. and 11 patents (GM/GBM), Hundt Metalltechnik is able to optimally respond to the individual needs of its customers.
