Senvion GmbH

22297 Hamburg, Germany

Description

The internationally active mechanical engineering company Senvion GmbH develops, produces and sells wind turbines for almost every location – with nominal outputs of 2.0 to 6.3 megawatts (MW) and rotor diameters of 82 to 152 metres. In addition, Senvion offers its customers project-specific solutions in the areas of turnkey, service and maintenance, transport and installation, and foundation design and construction. With around 4,500 employees worldwide, the company, headquartered in Hamburg, can draw on the experience gained from the manufacture and installation of more than 7,700 wind turbines worldwide. The company's experience and expertise goes back over 25 years. Since January 20, 2014, the company has been operating under the name Senvion. With the wind turbines of the 2 MW class, the MM82, MM92 and MM100, the company has set standards. More than 5,000 of these pioneering onshore turbines now produce electricity safely and reliably ××××××××× order to achieve high yields in the long term, Senvion is continuously developing its proven technology and optimising the efficiency of its turbines. Since 2008, the 3.XM series has been expanding the onshore portfolio. The turbines are based on the technology of the MM series and are available in various variants with 3.7 and 3.6 or 3.4 as well as 3.2 and 3.0 MW nominal output. Depending on the specification, the turbines are used at locations with strong, medium or weak wind speeds. Expansion of the 3-megawatt series
In order to offer customers the ideal turbine for each location, Senvion has steadily expanded its 3 MW portfolio. The 3.7M144 EBC and 3.6M118 NES wind turbines are each precisely adapted to the needs of high-wind and low-wind locations and are equipped with the Next Electrical System (NES).
The 3.7M144 EBC has an optimized blade design with lightweight, particularly efficient rotor blades. This is made possible by the new Rodpack technology. A further increase in nominal output of 3,700 kilowatts and a rotor area of 16,286 square metres contribute to the 6.7 per cent increase in annual energy yield (AEP) of the new turbine compared to its sister models. Thanks to aerodynamically optimized blades and serrations on the trailing edges of the blades, it is one of the quietest turbines in its class despite its large rotor diameter of 144 meters. The 3.7 M144 celebrates its world premiere at the Murra Warra Wind Farm in Australia.
With the 3.6M118 NES, Senvion continues the success story of its high-wind turbine in the 3-megawatt class. Thanks to the optimized rotor design, the new wind turbine generates very high yields at a low levelized cost of electricity. A steel tower with a hub height of 91 meters is available for the 3.6M118 NES. In addition, project-specific solutions are possible. The turbine is suitable for locations with medium to high wind speeds.
Holistic service concept as a stable basis for success.
Senvion's service will unlock the full potential of the wind farm. Senvion has created a four-pillar system to benefit from the highest performance and lowest power generation costs. The service concept of monitoring, maintenance, restoration and performance enhancement ensures that the optimum is made of the wind farm. Four pillars ensure increased performance: Monitor, Maintain, Regain and Enhance Performance: more performance and efficiency, more revenue and revenue, higher availability and return.
