Stromag's test centers for yaw and rotor brakes in Germany, France and India rely on high-performance test facilities that can accurately replicate the movements, vibrations and loads to which the brakes are really exposed in the field. These intensive testing procedures allow the responsible engineers to verify their theoretical calculations and ensure that the customer receives proven and highly reliable products for every application. Safe shutdown and control of motion sequences is the main task of Stromag's brakes, rotor locks and gearbox cam limit switches. Today, we produce and develop brakes and limit switches for all movements of a wind turbine, including nacelle adjustment (azimuth) as well as fast and slow rotor shaft as well as pitch adjustment. In addition to the brakes, rotor locks are also manufactured according to the usual market standards or according to customer requirements.
