To strengthen renewable energies, TOTAL offers individual lubricant solutions with a long service life as a third pillar. For example, the high-performance gear oil CARTER WT 320 ensures an extension of the change intervals of up to 10 years. The PAO-based product convinces with excellent protection of the gears against micropitting. Due to the high viscosity index, there is improved behavior at extremely low temperatures and it specifically reduces downtimes of the wind turbine.
TOTAL ANAC
TOTAL ANAC offers the full range of oil analyses for all activities and applications. The energy company TOTAL has more than 35 years of experience in oil analysis and has a database of more than four million analyses. This amount of stored data sets also includes approximately 15,000 types of mechanical components and motors, and also ensures the monitoring of approximately 500,000 components.
ANAC oil analysis is suitable for power units, hydraulics and industrial applications. Based on the scientific interpretation of the analysis results of the used oil tests, various conclusions can be drawn about the actual condition of wear and tear and accordingly optimizations can be made in the maintenance of machines, which in turn goes hand in hand with a reduction in maintenance costs (per kilometer or hour). TOTAL can draw on a wealth of experience in analyses and gear oils. At the heart of ANAC is a database of all properties specific to all TOTAL lubricants.
Oil analysis involves an assessment of the machine's operating conditions by a technician specialising in wind turbines. Taking into account its assessment, the use of other condition-based maintenance procedures (vibration analyses, thermography, etc.) and the ANAC oil analysis results, the optimal lubricant for the wind turbine is determined. Oil analysis reduces maintenance costs and optimizes oil change intervals. In addition, the planning of wind turbine maintenance operations can be better planned based on the analysis results, resulting in a reduction in turbine downtimes.
