Description

They have the opportunity to acquire an established wind farm with four reliable Nordex N54 wind turbines (each with a capacity of 1 MW), which has been supplying clean energy at a location in Saxony (DE) since mid-1998. The wind turbines have always been professionally maintained by RWE Renewable Europe & Australia GmbH and its predecessor companies. The network connection is via a transfer station and is part of the jointly used infrastructure, which is held in the form of a partnership under civil law. Another identical plant is involved in this, which is currently not for sale. So the buyer acquires 4/5 of the common infrastructure.

Special features & notes

For the wind turbines, an evaluation and test of continued operation was prepared after the end of the design service life in order to determine the remaining service life. The turbines can continue to be operated as follows (theoretical residual use): July 2027 | August 2028 | October 2028 | December 2028

The limiting components on a wind turbine are the main shaft, on the others the rotor blade screw connection.

Property Relations and Contracts

• The wind turbines are mainly located on leased land, with the exception of wind turbine 6, which is built on a freehold property

• The leases are generally for 30 years from commissioning (until mid-2028), in some cases with extension options. The contracts for two plants expire regularly; corresponding contract negotiations for an extension must be conducted

• The cable infrastructure is the joint property of the Infrastruktur-GbR

• Each wind turbine is owned by different operators; the sale will therefore take place as an asset deal
