1x Enercon E40/500 for sale in Rhineland-Palatinate - continued operation possible until 2037
For sale is an Enercon E-40/5.40 with a nominal output of 500 kW at an existing location in Rhineland-Palatinate. The plant was commissioned in 1997 and most recently achieved an average annual yield of around 633,000 kWh.
A current continued operation report from 2026 confirms - in compliance with the conditions - a possible remaining useful life until at least June 2037. In addition, the lease agreement has been extended, so that in principle there is the possibility of continuing to operate the plant at the existing location.
The system is currently out of operation due to an approximately 30 cm long transverse crack at the Königszapfen. Before recommissioning, the kingpin must be replaced. Apart from that, according to the report, the plant is in a sufficiently good condition overall.
