Our webinar on ADLS International took place on December 4.
During this event, our experts and international partners provided an overview of ADLS in several countries, addressing legal frameworks, technical implementation, and practical project experiences.
It starts with Felix Weiss (Light:Guard GmbH) explaining the purpose of ADLS for wind turbines. You’ll learn how “lights on only when needed” is intended to work around wind farms, what it means for aviation safety, and why it matters for acceptance in communities near turbine sites.
Next, Lorenzo Emer (Light:Guard GmbH) takes you through ADLS implementation for wind projects in Germany, Austria, and the United Kingdom. The recording highlights how regulatory expectations and approval logic can differ—and what that means for planning, stakeholder coordination, and execution on wind turbine sites.
For the Netherlands, Daniël Dubbelhuis (Topwind BV) shares the Dutch perspective on ADLS for wind farms. You’ll hear what wind farm operators and project owners typically focus on and which implementation details tend to be decisive for reliable performance on turbine locations.
Then Tobias Bröning (Senture GmbH) adds insights on Scandinavia, outlining the regional context for ADLS on wind turbines—what is commonly expected and how this can influence practical setup and operational considerations.
Participants also had the opportunity to ask questions, which were answered in a Q&A session.
