CAELI Wind, operator of a digital marketplace for wind energy sites, is pleased to announce that it has successfully closed a Series A financing round and raised €11 million. The round was led by Notion Capital, with additional support from Santander Alternative Investments and High Tech Gründerfond.
The aim: international expansion and deeper integration into the wind industry's value chains!
Since its foundation in 2022 by Ben Schlemmermeier and Heiko Bartels, CAELI Wind has undergone outstanding development. By using advanced AI technology, CAELI Wind identifies and markets suitable areas for wind turbines and thus makes a significant contribution to accelerating the energy transition. Last year, the company was able to drive forward the development of 173 new sites for wind turbines in Germany and shorten the realisation period for wind farms by an average of 18 months.
Growth driver & catalyst: wind-turbine.com
As a long-standing partner, wind-turbine.com has been helping CAELI Wind to build its visibility, brand and network nationally for around three years. For about 10 months now, also in the field of content marketing & SEO with the "in-house" online marketing agency WIV GmbH.
Heiko Bartels, Managing Director of CAELI Wind, emphasises the importance of these partnerships: "The cooperation with wind-turbine.com was and is a real catalyst for growth for Caeli. We look forward to continuing and intensifying our co-operation in order to gain a successful foothold in other countries as well. Thanks to Bernd Weidmann and the team at wind-turbine.com & WIV GmbH!
Bernd Weidmann, CEO of wind-turbine.com & WIV GmbH, adds: "It is an honour and confirmation of our work to be described as a growth catalyst for CAELI Wind. This role motivates me personally and our entire team to step up and provide Heiko and his great team with maximum support for internationalisation and other goals."
Oliver Naumann, Managing Director of KINZIG.VALLEY Venture, which is invested in CAELI Wind & wind-turbine.com, is also pleased about the deal: "It's great that such renowned investors believe in CAELI Wind and its innovative business model. I am also particularly pleased that wind-turbine.com has actively helped to shape the path and will continue to do so!" His father Ehrhard Naumann adds: "The two makers, Heiko from CAELI and Bernd from wind-turbine.com, have been working together very amicably for years with the same intentions and motivation - it's great that the two are using the synergies of both platforms to make progress."
The newly acquired funds will be used to expand CAELI Wind's international business activities and drive forward technological development. The investors are confident that CAELI Wind will play a key role in accelerating the global energy transition.
Stephen Chandler, Managing Partner of Notion Capital, commented on the investment: "We are impressed by CAELI Wind's vision and performance to date. CAELI's digital marketplace is a significant advancement in a critical segment of the wind energy value chain that has been largely untapped by technological innovation. We are convinced that the team has the ability to develop CAELI into a global leader in the wind energy market."
