Clemco Sets New Standards: High-Tech Blasting Cabin for Onshore and Offshore Applications

Clemco is actively partnering with leading manufacturers of wind turbine towers to contribute to the global energy transition. We are proud to present our state-of-the-art blasting and metallizing room, installed in Zierbana, Spain (Bizkaia), for one of the foremost producers of onshore and offshore towers, as well as offshore foundations.

With impressive dimensions of 70 × 12.5 × 12.5 meters, this cabin is currently one of the largest operational blast rooms in Spain dedicated to renewable energy applications.

Key technical features:

• Capable of blasting and metallizing sections for both offshore and onshore projects
• Accommodates up to 5 operators simultaneously
• Equipped with a heavy-duty scraper floor collection system with a capacity of 13,500 kg/hour
• High-performance bucket elevator and abrasive cleaning system with a throughput of 6 m³/h
• Dual ventilation system designed for both blasting and metallizing operations
• PLC-controlled system enabling operators to seamlessly switch between blasting and metallizing modes
• Efficient cleaning and separation system for shot blasting and zinc dust
• Fully synchronized PLC-driven control panel with advanced features, including a touchscreen interface, safety module, clogging detection, alarm synoptics, hour counter, and maintenance indicator
